High-Performance ASIL-B Rated PMIC with Buck Converters and LDO for Automotive Camera Module
SC6205Q
High-Performance ASIL-B Rated PMIC with Buck Converters and LDO for Automotive Camera Module
The SC6205Q is a high-performance Power Management IC (PMIC) for automotive camera modules. It integrates a high-voltage buck converter for a primary regulator, dual low-voltage buck converters and a low noise LDO for secondary regulators.
The devices feature a 2.2MHz fixed-frequency PWM mode for better noise immunity and load-transient performance. The high-frequency operation allows for the use of all ceramic capacitors and minimizes external components. The programmable spread-spectrum frequency modulation minimizes radiated electromagnetic emissions. Integrated low-RDS(ON) switches improve efficiency at heavy loads and make layout simpler than discrete solutions.
I2C digital interface allows for application flexibility. Output voltage, power sequence, and protection thresholds can all be adjusted through the interface. Fault status can also be monitored. Protection features include undervoltage lockout (UVLO), over current protection (OCP), over voltage protection (OVP), under voltage protection (UVP) and thermal shutdown (TSD).
The SC6205Q supports applications with a high automotive safety integrity level up to ASIL-B. Functional safety features such as an analog built-in self-texting (ABIST), diagnostics, a nRESET and a nINT output pin are all included. It is developed under Functional Safety Product Development process, which has been independently certified to meet ISO26262 guidelines.
The SC6205Q is available in 24-pin 4mm x 4mm Wettable-Flank QFN packages.
